Baby is Solid

Today Teagan had a taste of his first solid food. Avocado mushed up with his baby formula. He seemed to like it, even pulling the spoon toward his mouth at points. We videoed the experience for the grandparents and posterity. We will try new things one at a time and see what he likes. Zoe is growing like a weed and becoming more and more a pre-teen. She is becoming self centered and certainly acts like a typical kid. All in good fun though, as it is funny seeing her grow up and doing things that we did as kids. 

We just moved to a place closer to Carpentersville and have settled in pretty quickly. We moved here the day after Christmas all by ourselves. It was hard going but we all worked as a team, Zoe watching Teagan and Mel and I packing the moving truck. Teagan was great and well behaved, not the crying mess I expected. I only have to commute 1 mile, so that is a nice change! 

Oh, let's not forget about the Cardinals winning the World Series and Albert Pujols going to the Angels. That was a great season! Melissa was born in 1982 when the Cards won the series and Teagan was born this year so we have another "championship" kid born. 

I can't express how amazing it is to watch our kids learn and grow. Until next time. Which should be sooner than last time!
